Falling Behind
@anthonycorletti

I've recently heard the following paraphrased statement from a few people.

If we don't implement this new AI technology, it's likely that we'll fall behind.

What if we rephrased this?

If we experiment with this new AI technology, it's likely that we'll be able to make an informed decision about implementing it in our products or services.

The statement has shifted into a growth mindset.

I think that most feelings of falling behind can be redirected into a growth mindset.

It's been very odd to spend time far away from home, routine, friends, and family over the past few weeks.

Living sixteen hours in the future has it's odd effects. You miss moments, have a short window of time to interact with people you miss, information and media is delivered to you at different times. Sometimes I feel as if I'm falling behind (while in the "future", how freaking wild).

This is a novel and challenging state of mind for me, being so far away from my zone. It feels so natural and beneficial to shift back as soon as possible.

How does this become part of a growth mindset? Without a network, in a far away place, in a place where there are different values in day to day life...

Sometimes we can't simply flip the script.
